About WASH Matters

WaterAid is an international not-for-profit determined to end the global water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) crises.

We work with communities, civil society, governments, the private sector and financial institutions to ensure everyone, everywhere has sustainable and safe access to clean water, decent sanitation and good hygiene.

WASH Matters is the home of information about WaterAid’s policy, programmes and advocacy work. It is part of WaterAid’s wider digital landscape, including websites for WaterAid international, and its member organisations and country programmes.

On WASH Matters you will find:

  • Insight into our areas of work, current projects, programmes and campaigns.
  • Hundreds of publications about WASH and related areas, including research reports, learning briefs, policy papers, technical guidance and frameworks.
  • Blogs and opinion about our work and the WASH sector, written by experts from WaterAid and our partner organisations.
  • Details of our engagement at global events where we share knowledge and research to influence change.
