Child of mine

Sanitation is a basic human right. Yet around the world one child in every three doesn’t have access to a basic toilet, leading to debilitating, and often fatal, diarrhoea. This briefing paper calls for UN member states to adopt ambitious Sustainable Development Goals that recognise the importance of toilets in eliminating extreme poverty and improving health.

If governments take a shared responsibility to reach every child with adequate sanitation by 2030 future generations will be healthier, with better life chances, as a result.
