These quality programme standards bring together WaterAid standards and accepted "good practice" in the wider water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector.

These standards, updated in January 2024, can be used at every stage of the planning, monitoring, evaluating and reporting cycle of a project, programme or strategy.

You can use the standards during the design process, as a guide to quality when visiting programmes, or as a useful summary of how WaterAid works when having discussions with partners and donors.
