We worked with the Ministry of Health, Lusaka City Council and other partners, with the support of Zambia-based consultancy firm Development Data, to conduct a rapid COVID-19 vulnerability assessment in Lusaka, Zambia. The purpose of the assessment was to help identify hotspot areas, gaps and targets for interventions to provide a clear analysis of the situation on the ground and generate evidence to inform planning and programming as the COVID-19 response progresses. We focused on the physical, social and economic vulnerabilities people face, and the coping mechanisms they employ. Further, we investigated knowledge, attitudes and practices on COVID-19.
